Rescuing and fostering are expensive, most of the people involved with rescue work are
using their own money and they spend every spare penny trying to save an animal that has
been abandoned, abused, or neglected by a former caretaker.
Trying to work with that animal
to help it trust again so it can be adopted by a loving family, as you can imagine, some of
these animals have a hard time trusting after what they have been through. This is just one
of the many scenarios and it takes time, patience and money.
Then you have animals that come into rescue that have been neglected for so long they have
extensive medical issues that have been left to worsten and by the time we get them, they
require a great deal of medical care, again very expensive.
A great way for people who at this time can't adopt for whatever reason to help is by
sponsoring an animal. This takes a great financial strain off of the fostering family and
makes it possible to save and rescue even more animals.
